COSHH
Course Summary
Businesses often use substances or products that could potentially cause harm to employers, employees, contractors and other people on the premises if such products are not handled correctly. These can include commonly used substances, such as disinfectant, paint or bleach. Although some substances are easily recognisable as being potentially harmful, employers are required to provide employees with training to ensure that everyone is aware of the risks of potentially harmful substances and knows how to use them safely.

This learning plan aims to raise awareness of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations and how it impacts on the use of substances that are potentially harmful. It goes on to give an overview of such substances, describing the control apporaches and measues, including PPE, with a final course designed for managers or staff who may be responsible for COSHH risk assessments.
